BSAC Dive Centres and Dive Clubs in Borneo

BSAC Dive Centres and Clubs in Sabah, Sarawak, Brunei, and Kalimantan

Borneo seaOnly very few BSAC dive centres or BSAC dive clubs have been set up outside the UK. Most dive operators in Borneo are PADI dive centres, like almost everywhere else in Asia. Several Borneo related dive forums mention that there are some BSAC dive clubs and centres in Borneo. It appears that these centres offer dive trips to BSAC divers, but do not, or at least not yet, conduct any BSAC dive training, such as BSAC ocean diver or BSAC sports diver training. All dive training on offer consists of PADI dive courses.

BSAC Diving in Brunei

Some divers report that there are BSAC dive clubs in Brunei. However this could not be confirmed to date. As Brunei is home to a reasonable large number of expatriates from Britain BSAC diving should be quite popular.

BSAC Diving in Sabah

There are unconfirmed reports that there may be some dive centres that cater for BSAC as well as PADI divers. However no BSAC dive training seems to be on offer.

BSAC Diving in Sarawak

Although not confirmed yet, there some divers report that there are dive clubs and centres that cater for BSAC as well as PADI divers.

BSAC Centres and Clubs in Kalimantan

At present there does not seem to be a BSAC dive operator in Kalimantan.

Dive Gear Rental

Several dive operators have a selection of diving gear such as dive masks, fins, BC, etc., for rental. Prices can be high, so renting may only be an option for very heavy diving equipment.
